BEFORE WE START

Frequently asked questions

About materials, project preparation and requesting a quote.

Can an old log home be sandblasted?

We assess the options based on the condition of the logs and the existing coating. Send an overall view of the walls and close-up photos. Before work starts, we agree on the desired texture and whether a small test area is needed.

What should I include in a log home quote request?

Include the site location, approximate surface area and whether the work is indoors or outdoors. Add photos of the walls and close-ups of the coating, and describe your intended finish.

Can metal be primed after blasting?

Priming is also available after metal blasting. We agree on a suitable primer, surface preparation requirements and the timing before starting. Let us know in your enquiry if you would like blasting and priming together.

What is sandblasting?

It is a surface treatment using abrasive material propelled by compressed air. It removes old coatings, rust and stubborn dirt, and prepares the surface for further treatment.

Which surfaces can be blasted?

Wood, metal, brick and concrete. We assess whether blasting is suitable for each project individually — the material, its condition and the coating to be removed all matter.

Can a wooden facade or timber boards be blasted?

Yes, if the condition of the wood and its coating are suitable. Blasting can change or accentuate the wood grain. Before starting, we discuss the desired appearance and whether a small test area is needed.

Can blasting damage a surface?

An unsuitable abrasive or treatment setting can alter the surface texture and damage delicate materials. We therefore assess the surface and agree on the treatment before starting. Thin components and soft wood require particular care.

Do you travel to the site?

We offer mobile sandblasting. Send us the site location and photos — we will agree on access, working conditions and the options for an on-site visit.

How much does blasting cost?

The price depends on the surface area, material, old coating, access and work location. To receive a quote, send photographs, approximate dimensions and the site location.

How long does the work take?

This depends on the scope of work, coating and access to the surface. We discuss the schedule after receiving your project description and photographs. Outdoor work also depends on the weather.

How should I prepare the site?

Provide access to the surface and move nearby belongings. We agree on protecting windows, delicate elements and adjacent surfaces, as well as other preparation, before visiting the site.

Does blasting create dust?

Blasting produces abrasive particles and debris from removed coatings. We discuss isolating the work area and protecting the surroundings in advance, taking the location and material into account.

Does the surface need painting after blasting?

Further treatment depends on the material and its use. Cleaned steel needs suitable corrosion protection; wood finishes are chosen to suit the desired result. It is best to agree on the next treatment stage before starting.

How can I send photos for a quote?

Complete the quote request form and attach up to 5 photos (up to 10 MB in total). Click “Send enquiry” to email the details and photos to [email protected]. You can also email us directly or send photos via WhatsApp.
